This is an online store that allows ABLE programs in the state of Ohio to request items from the Resource Center free of cost. Many of the items may be downloaded electronically via the websites listed.  If you have trouble downloading an item, you may request a hardcopy from the Northeast ABLE Resource Center.

1)  "Success at Work - An Instructors Resource Guide"

Developed by Alice Kiderman and Anne Siebert for the Cleveland Municipal School District, Office of Adult and Continuing Education, English for Speakers of Other Languages Program

The Success at Work - An Instructors Resource Guide contains eighteen ready-to-use job-related handouts that are meant to accompany the Success at Work video as part of the Business English program.

2)  "Workplace Health and Safety ESOL Curriculum"

Massachusetts Worker Education Roundtable, 2005

This curriculum based on US law is designed to help ESOL learners learn about and exercise their workplace health and safety rights and was developed in conjunction with unions.  Tutors can use this curriculum with learners to analyze issues that they have identified and develop strategies to address them

3)  "Ohio Workplace Education Resource Guide"
ABLE, 2005

"The Ohio Workplace Education Resource Guide was developed to provide practical information that would meet the needs of workplace education providers.  Information on assessments, a glossary of workplace terms and publications on issues involved with ESOL in the workplace and learning disabilities have been included. Committee members have contributed tips on marketing and outreach, and sample documents and templates as examples available for providers to adapt to program needs."
