Alternative Professional Development

What is it?
As an alternative to the traditional face-to-face trainings that most instructors are familiar with, this type of professional development (PD) utilizes multiple formats and media options for a wider variety of PD.  Alternative PD provides instructors with more opportunities for PD, as well as the freedom to guide their own PD.

What Formats are used?
Alternative PD may be in the form of a video, an online course, a webinar, a book club or a cultural event, just to name a few.

How do I register?
Go to Training Calendar to register for an event.  Please note: there are now two pages in the Calendar of Events.  In order to view the list of ongoing alternative trainings, select the self directed link at the top of the page for alisting of alternative delivery PD options.
