Alternative Professional Development |
| |
What is it? |
| |
As an alternative to the traditional face-to-face trainings that most instructors are familiar with, this type of professional development (PD) utilizes multiple formats and media options for a wider variety of PD. Alternative PD provides instructors with more opportunities for PD, as well as the freedom to guide their own PD. |
| |
What Formats are used? |
| |
Alternative PD may be in the form of a video, an online course, a webinar, a book club or a cultural event, just to name a few. |
| |
How does this affect my IPDP and stipend/reimbursement request(s)? |
| |
ABLE participants may participate in as many activities as desired. An individual has the freedom to decide which activity(ies) he/she submits a stipend/reimbursement request for as reflected on the IPDP form. |
